In the late 1960s Joe Brennan set out to bake fresh bread daily and started a bakery where talented individuals put their best work into the hands of thousands of people every day.
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer who wants to grow with us, be part of the story, and play a role in shaping the future of our bakery.
Based in our Walkinstown Bakery, the role is responsible for working with the Technical Team and Production to ensure optimum food quality and safety, maintaining full compliance with all processes, quality systems, food safety, quality control, and hygiene management to meet the highest internal, external, and mandated audit standards.
The role operates on a 12‑hour shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off.
The Person
- Fluent English speaker resident local or ability to reliably commute
- 2 years’ minimum experience in food manufacturing environment
- Training in food hygiene, HACCP and internal auditing together with knowledge of labelling and food legislation
- Ability to drive quality and food safety standards in a high volume food manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the assertiveness to drive standards, combined with excellent organisational, planning, time‑management, problem‑solving, and anticipatory skills.
- Knowledge of EHO, DoA, Weights & Measures, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001 & RSPO requirements
- The ability to work on own initiative and as part of an interdependent team.
- The capacity to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be flexible.
